It’s open!! The next section of the Iron Belle Trail heading East from the Montreal river at Ironwood is now open. This section joins up in Bessemer and takes the bike or hike adventurer to Ramsay, MI, where it ends at a park that adjoins the famous Keystone Bridge. At about 10.5 miles from Ironwood to Ramsay one-way, the Iron Belle is gradually developing its promise as a true day-adventure experience. And now, as the leaves begin to turn, that trail journey through the forests will take on increased beauty and U.P. North majesty. You can stop at the Ironwood Depot parking lot, unload your bike, and take off down the trail all the way to Ramsay–over bridges, past bluffs, and ending at a beautiful park.
