Powder Hound Lodge

E6342 Christie Lane
Ironwood, MI 49938

Year-round sports lodge with views of Big Powderhorn Mountain.  The original ski lodge was built when Big Powderhorn Ski Resort was developed, and has been the hub of sport activity ever since.  Home of year-round high school training camps, ski trips, snowshoe, and hiking tours.  Farm Stand and Art Barn open Spring through Fall for workshops, classes, and special events.

Powder Hound Lodge features private hotel-style rooms with plenty of common areas to socialize, share stories of the day’s adventures, and meet new friends.   Your hosts, Anne and Chris Reimer, cater to groups of any size.  The Lodge sleeps 45 and there are neighboring ski chalets available for additional lodging.  Local guides are here to share with you wilderness knowledge for guests wanting to explore the Upper Peninsula back country.   There is full trail access from the Lodge–snowmobile, cross-country, downhill ski, hiking, and mountain bike trails.   Many entrancing summer vistas await!  The Lodge is located across from the Black River, which winds 12 miles toward Lake Superior dropping down 5 stunning waterfalls to Black River Harbor.   We are also in walking distance to Black River Valley Pub!  Everyone is welcome at Powder Hound Lodge–whether it be a single individual or full groups.  We have plenty of parking for trailers & “toys” as well.  Our rooms vary in size–some sleep 2 and some up to 7.    Check out our website for some great pictures as well as full reservation information.  Like us on Facebook, and follow our posts of lodge happenings and area features! https://www.facebook.com/powderhoundlodge/
