Powder Hound Lodge has long been a hub of activity at the Big Powderhorn Ski Area. We feature private hotel-style rooms with plenty of common areas to socialize, share stories of the day’s adventures, and meet new friends. Your hosts, Anne and Chris Reimer cater to groups of any size. The Lodge sleeps 45 and there are neighboring ski chalets available for additional lodging. Local guides are here to share with you wilderness knowledge for guests wanting to explore the Upper Peninsula back country. There is full trail access from the Lodge–snowmobile, crosscountry, downhill ski, hiking, and mountain bike trails. Many entrancing summer vistas await! The Lodge is located across from the Black River, which winds 12 miles toward Lake Superior dropping down 5 stunning waterfalls to Black River Harbor. We are also in walking distance to Black River Valley Pub! Everyone is welcome at Powder Hound Lodge–whether it be a single individual or full groups. We have plenty of parking for trailers & “toys” as well. Our rooms vary in size–some sleep 2 and some up to 7. We feature a very comfortable dining area and a full kitchen & grill for our guests to use. Check out our website for some great pictures as well as full reservation information.
